Communities of Color Hardest Hit, Slowest to Recover from Recession
The Great Recession had dire consequences for Americans' economic well-being. Communities of color in particular ended up with much larger losses during the recession than whites and they were more vulnerable as the economy moved through the second year of its recovery. HUD awards grant to National CAPACD Housing Counseling Network
The US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded the National CAPACD a $785,000 grant to administer a national housing counseling program targeting AAPIs in 10 states. Of 28 HUD-approved national housing counseling intermediaries, National CAPACD is the only organization focused on serving AAPI communities. more»March 10, 2010
