State Fact Sheets
The Asian Pacific American Community Development Data Center (APACDDC), a joint project between National CAPACD, the UCLA Asian American Studies Center, and U.S. Census Bureau Census Information Center Program, developed the 2004 State Profiles for California, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, and Washington, where AAPI comprise 62.5% of the total AAPI population in the U.S. The profiles feature statistics on population growth, citizenship, language, education, poverty status, income and housing.

The National Income and Housing profile of the Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islanders reveals significant disparities in poverty, income, and rates of overcrowded housing. AAPI have rates of overcrowding, with 1.01 and more occupants per room, is four times (14%) the rate of the overall population (3%).
