National CAPACD recently awarded six community-based organizations the 2023 Empowerment Economics subgrant. Empowerment Economics is our culturally responsive framework to increase financial stability in low-income communities. Practitioners can use this framework to reflect on their program priorities by identifying where their program currently stands within each of the framework’s core elements and can then set goals for the future.
Each subgrantee will work on integrating these core elements into their programming or organization in order to increase their capacity to empower and strengthen the financial health of low-income AA and NHPI communities.
