To commemorate National CAPACD’s 25th Anniversary, we will host a series of in-person convenings over the next several months. Honoring the spirit in which National CAPACD was founded, these convenings will provide a space where members of our coalition can support one another and strategize for how best to respond to the current attacks on our communities, protect our civil rights, and restore power to critical social and democratic institutions that are being dismantled. As a key member of our coalition, we hope you will join us at one of the following events:

What will happen at these convenings?
Each convening will be a day-long event, intended to create spaces for meaningful conversation and connection that are not always possible in online settings. There will be space for networking and sharing updates and strategies on how members are responding to the current economic and political climate in their service area. Each convening will also include a public briefing designed to uplift for funders the needs of our communities in this current moment.
Sounds great, I can’t wait. How do I sign up?
There is no need to do anything immediately. Approximately two months before we host each convening, your organization will receive an invitation (sent to your executive leader) for the convening specific to your region (as detailed above). The invitation will include information about how to register and other logistical details.
We are being conservative with our budget. Will financial assistance be available to support our participation?
There is no registration cost associated with these coalition convenings. Member organizations that are current with their dues will be eligible to receive one scholarship to offset costs for travel and lodging if they are traveling from outside the immediate meeting area. Organizations that wish to send more than one staff member are welcome to do so at their own expense, with a maximum of 3 staff members per organization.
