2020 Building CAPACD Convention

Overview

National CAPACD invites you to join us virtually from September 14 – 16, 2020 for the 2020 Building CAPACD Convention. We will bring our members, partners, and allies together to reflect on all that we have accomplished collectively in the past two decades, and prepare for the work ahead.

In the past, the Building CAPACD Convention has brought together one of the largest convenings of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander leaders and community practitioners in the country. Despite social distance impacting our ability to convene in person, the need for connection is more urgent than ever right now. We hope to bring our coalition together online to share stories and strategies to preserve #OurNeighborhoods, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. We will hold space to think through our collective responsibility to show up for Black communities and address anti-Blackness in our own AAPI communities. We will also share our coalition’s policy priorities, and consider how we can work together to advance our progressive agenda as we face the upcoming Presidential election. And through all this, we won’t forget to celebrate all that we have accomplished together over the last 20 years!
