Applications are now open for National CAPACD’s 2025 Small Business Development Technical Assistance Program. This program aims to create a space where participants working in community-based organizations (CBOs) can connect with and learn from one another in their mission to engage and support micro-entrepreneurs and small business districts, including Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AA and NHPI) communities and cultural corridors.
From December 2025 to August 2026, participants will meet virtually and attend 1-2 in-person convenings to build relationships with one another. Program activities will include peer discussions, training sessions, and opportunities to workshop new ideas. Examples of potential topics for the discussions and training include, but are not limited to: small business needs assessment, small business and micro-lending practices, business succession planning, and commercial tenant protections.
We invite organizations that actively support micro-entrepreneurs through business development, capital access, and district-wide stabilization initiatives aimed at preventing commercial displacement in AA and NHPI cultural districts. For more information on eligibility criteria, please see the RFP materials below.
Along with acceptance to the peer learning program, National CAPACD will provide grants of $9,000 to each awarded organization. Eligible organizations must have 501(c)(3) status or a fiscal sponsor and serve low-income communities, including AA and NHPI communities. Funds awarded will be flexible and used at the organization’s discretion in accordance with National CAPACD’s guidelines.
The deadline to apply is October 24 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Applications must be submitted on our Foundant Grant Portal. Relevant documents with additional details are linked below. All questions should be directed to neighborhoodstrategies@nationalcapacd.org.
A virtual information session about the program will be held on October 14 at 12:00 p.m. PT/3:00 p.m. ET. To register, click here.
