National CAPACD Announces Two Sub-grant Opportunities

National CAPACD is pleased to announce the release of two sub-grant opportunities:

The Fostering AAPI Entrepreneurship TA Grant 2019-2020
National CAPACD is implementing a national initiative to advance the economic inclusion of low-income Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) micro-entrepreneurs through expansion of culturally relevant business development services and access to capital. This initiative employs: 1) capacity building of community organizations to deliver culturally appropriate business counseling and micro-lending activities via a peer technical assistance model; complemented by 2) leadership development opportunities for practitioners on small business policy advocacy.

This grant opportunity invites community-based organizations to submit applications for technical assistance in the areas of small business program development and/or access to capital, as well as a $7,500 sub-grant to support the corresponding organizational and professional development necessary for program growth. Technical assistance will be provided by National CAPACD’s member organizations - Asian Pacific Islander Small Business Program (API SBP) and Renaissance Economic Development Corporation (REDC).

Any 501c3 organization within National CAPACD's network is invited to apply - membership is not required. The deadline for all applications is November 15, 2019 at 5pm PT. All questions about this RFP should be directed to joyce@nationalcapacd.org.
